Kerala PSC (KPSC) Exam Pattern and Syllabus (Kerala)
The Kerala Public Service Commission (KPSC) conducts the Kerala Administrative Services (KAS) examination to recruit candidates for various administrative roles in the state.
The selection process consists of three stages:
Preliminary Examination
Mains Examination
Interview / Personality Test
Stage I: Preliminary Examination
The KAS Preliminary Exam serves as a screening test for shortlisting candidates for the Mains. It includes two objective-type papers:

Subject: General Studies I
Paper II
Number of Questions: 100
Total Marks: Qualifying (0 marks counted for ranking)
Duration: 90 minutes
Subject: General Studies II (includes General Studies, Language Proficiency, and Reasoning)
Negative Marking (Both Papers): One-third of the marks allotted to a question will be deducted for each incorrect answer.
